Big Sky documentary festival to taste Iranian ‘Holy Bread’

Iranian ‘Holy Bread’ is to compete at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the US.

Iranian ‘Holy Bread’ has been scheduled to compete at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the US.

Made by the late documentarian Rahim Zabihi and produced by Touraj Aslani, the Iranian documentary is about some cross-border couriers who try to make ends meet by smuggling goods into Iran.

The late documentarian spent nine years to document their lives in his last film.

‘Holy Bread’ has gone on screen at some global events, including the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is organized every year by the Big Sky Film Institute to support the people who create documentary films, vibrant events, and expand knowledge and conversation around issues that matter.

The 2021 edition of the event will take place on February 19-28 in Missoula, in the northwestern US state of Montana.
